Counselling

Ann offers counselling which creates a trusting and non-judgemental environment for all the clients. Ann is a person centred counsellor with an integrative approach. The rooms are in a discrete location but still easily accessible and we can confirm location once we receive initial enquiries.

Ann offers long  and short term work after discussion and assessment with potential clients about their needs from counselling. It may be that certain clients find personal results within a short space of time while others find that counselling continues much longer, the journey for everyone is always very different.

Some clients however feel that they wish to begin straight away and sessions can normally be offered within one week from an initial enquiry.

Clients bring many issues to counselling, including the following:

  • Relationship problems
  • Isolation
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Bereavement and forms of acute loss
  • Coming to terms with large decisions
  • Drug and Alcohol problems, either yours or others
  • Emotional, physical or sexual abuse
  • Being stuck, inability to move forward or make changes
  • Work related issues and stress

This is by no means intended to be a complete list and clients can decide to come for counselling because of any issue that is of importance to them.

Whatever the reason, clients find one of the main benefits to counselling is to be able to explore and discuss  issues within a safe, secure, confidential and ethical environment, something which many may never have experienced within their lives before.
